Sweet Spring

March Madness, St. Patricks, TeeBall, Daylight Savings, Sneezing, Beautiful Blooms and the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, oh the sweetness of Spring!
Daylight Savings Came First! Of course the kids don't have a clue that this even occurs, all they know is they get to stay outside longer in the evenings! The Monday morning is always the worst. I go to wake Wyatt up, he says man I got up early today, it's not even sunny outside yet!

Then, I come home from work that same day, both of them say, Mom why are you home so early! I'm like early, it's 6:30! But, it was daylight! Woo Hoo! We're lovin the afternoon light!

St. Patty's Day!
We're getting dressed that morning, of course Wyatt couldn't wear green b/c of the uniform situation, but he had a green band-ade so he was fine with that. He says well what is St. Patrick's Day. I said it's a day they celebrate in Ireland and we do hear a little bit by wearing Green. He says okay and goes on! We're in the car and he says is that little guy coming out today! He said I bet we see a rainbow b/c I bet he comes out today! I said Wyatt if you see a Leprechaun you let me know, b/c you don't see them often!

TeeBall Time

Madelyn's first Teeball practice! She was so pumped! Her NaNa Lucia got her a new bat bag. Mom bought her a glove and some cleets and Mrs. Amanda gave her a big water bottle! She was ready! She was upset she didn't have a bat, but we told her if she did really good, The Easter Bunny would probably bring her one! She packed her bag up the night before practice! She even made herself some blue kool-aid for her water bottle! But, when she got to practice, she had forgotten her glove! But, she had that water bottle! Thank you Mrs. Amanda, she loves it!
She runs the bases for the first time, misses every base, we get her in the van..we're like Madelyn you have to touch the bases, she says well these cleets don't want to touch bases today, maybe tomorrow! Yep, that's how my girl rolls

Wyatt started his practice for his last year in TeeBall. Yes, Derek is coaching again. Feel free to follow along, I'll be blogging again this year! http://www.geauxindians.blogspot.com/

And the Baseball continues!
LSU Baseball Clinic at The Livingston Parks! Wyatt enjoyed himself. We had to borrow 20 bucks from Mr. Shane for one of the LSU baseball hats, and you'll read the rest of the story on that below!

Madelyn's 1st Scrimmage.
We show up for practice thinking it's a regular practice, then we soon realize it's a scrimmage. I run out there and try to explain to Madelyn what was about to take place. She says Mom, I know what a shrimmage is!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY! Daisy turned 1 on April 2nd! I got her a pupcake and planned on taking a pic of her eating it, but Madelyn talked Nanna into letting her have it before I got home, but from what I hear, Daisy loved it!

LSU Baseball Game.
We had the best time at the LSU baseball game. Our first time at the new Alex Box. So worth the trip! Wyatt was upset we were 10 minutes late and we stayed until the last pitch was thrown
We sat in left field! As you know they warm up in between innings and all the little fellas run to try and get a ball. Here's where the hat comes back into play! Johnny, the left fielder pointed at Wyatt and said I like that hat, I'm bringing a ball back next inning. And, he did! Wyatt was thrilled. He says, now I have my very own college baseball!

HAPPY EASTER!

And, the Easter Bunny did show up at the Morgan house! And he brought bats! That's what Madelyn wanted along with other stuff and Wyatt has been wanting this monster truck thing he keeps seeing on TV. He saw that pic, he said mom I look weird in that picture....he needed a hair cut and he was sunburn!

Few Easter Pics!

Madelyn's First Tee Ball Game!
Check those socks out!
Even if she doesn't learn the first thing about teeball, she's happy with the outfit!

And, Madelyn's up to the plate for her very first bat! She comes out of the dug out with her Minnie Mouse gloves on! Wyatt got batting gloves from the Easter bunny, but she didn't. Never Fear, Madelyn's Plan B is here! She snuck those gloves in her batting bag and sported them so proud for her first teeball bat!
Few Random TeeBall Shots of Miss Madelyn. She gets out and she strikes out, but she doesn't take it to heart, she really does have fun with it!
Congrats to the Green Machine for taking 1st place in the LPR Opening Tournament! Madelyn was excited to win...even though she's not one of the key players, she enjoys the benefits...like trophies!

Congrats to the Indians for winning 2nd Place in the LPR Opening Tournament. My little Wyatt played his heart out. He wanted that first place trophy really bad! Maybe next time! Of course, little sister has to rub it in! I said Madelyn ..you just lucked up and got on a really good team! Believe me, she's not playing defense, she comes in from the game and says Mom, I wrote an M in the dirt out there!
Funny how the kids improve from year to year on their own. Last year, Wyatt's favorite thing in teeball was hitting a home run, this year it's making outs!

See you in about a month! I'm sure with more baseball pics! Enjoy this season!

Fast and Furious Feb!

February has been fun! It's been cold and rainy but it has been fun! It's been full of basketball! My Madelyn agreed to play...I was glad b/c this was the only time they could ever play together on the same team! However, she was more concerned about cheering than even touching the ball! She even had the bench chanting lets go green team! If you ask me, I think she was in it for the shoes!

Wyatt did really well. He would average about 2 shots per game! His dribbling improved a great deal as well as his defense! He didn't really like the fact that he played point guard at first, but then he decides it might be okay. He says it's kind of like Drew Brees...he decides who to pass the ball too!

We don't Mardi Gras much. The Parade at Children's Cottage is the extent to our Mardi Gras! However, the kids do enjoy the day off! The Jeep died at the last minute, so thanks to the Jones family for letting us borrow Elise's Corvette and a very BIG Thanks to Mrs. Tammy for helping us decorate! And, yes that's Daisy you see in the pics....this was Daisy's first parade! She did really well...she sat in Madelyn and Annabelle's lap and enjoyed the ride!

Another Sneaux Day! I think my kids have seen more snow in their 5 and 6 years of life than I have seen in my 32 years of life! CRAZY! Wyatt talks about a snow day from school like it's nothing! They enjoy it every time! This was Daisy's first snow! She's a big fan of crushed ice, in fact Madelyn taught her to sit with crushed ice....she just kept running all around eating it!

There's my Madelyn below...that's just how she rides...one pant leg up and one pant leg down! She's as carefree as they come! And, that's the last of the very cute umbrella that I found on sale. I accidentally ran over it that morning!

Later on that same night, we had a sleep over for the kids. It was Megyn's first time to spend the night with anyone at all, and she did wonderful. Her mom sent clothes, but she wore the Silvermist night gown nonstop!
And for those of you who don't know, Megyn and Madelyn were born on the same day! And they have both been petite since they were born, and yes, Megyn rides with one pant leg up and pant leg down too! Must have something to do with November 29th!
Very Cute Megyn and Madelyn story!
We're sitting at the bar eating supper and Madelyn says Mom, we got your Valentine's Day Present Today. Megyn says oh what is it, so Madelyn whispers in her ear and Megyn says with such excitement...it starts with a K and it has fire on top! So, I thought and thought and said I just don't know and Madelyn blurps out...It's a Candle...a pink one!

Here's the whole spend the night crew! We only had one mishap! Barrett and Wyatt were in his bunk bed. Wyatt was hanging on to the punching bag while standing in his bed and Barrett pushed him out said he was trying to help him fly! NO broken bones, so we're all good!

Then came Valentine's Day! I made their VDay cards this year. They drew a pic and then I did something with the pick. Dad helped Madelyn draw that Hello Kitty, but Wyatt drew that rocket all by himself!

The kids each had to decorate a box for school. Madelyn's school had a competition for the best box. She got 3rd place and she was excited to see her box on the special table! The bottom bowl opens to insert the cards.... just in case you're wondering!
Here's Mom's Secret Valentine's Day Garden! That's what the kids called it! They helped Dad plant the flowers for me. They all know Tulips are my favorite! I love it!

We enjoyed another LSU basketball game with the Macks this year! It was close one, LSU lost by 1 point!

And as we were walking out, the girls spotted a real cheerleader and she offered to take a pic! How Sweet!

I had to throw in another basketball pic right here of Wyatt. He studied the Tigers as they played ball! And, he also tuned in to ESPN to watch some basketball. The game following the Tiger Basketball trip, he announces that he has some secret moves for his ballgame, but he wouldn't share what they were. All during the game he's shooting from afar, he comes to sit down, Dad says son...drive in a little more to make the shot. He says, I'm trying to make a 3 pointer! I guess that was the secret move!
NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!
My Japanese Magnolia tree was my Valentine's Gift in 2006. 4 years later it finally decides to bloom! Woo Hoo! That deserved a picture on the blog!

It finally warmed up one day! Quick Trip to the Park! Some Picnic Memories!

I'll go ahead and Post a little from March. Since TeeBall is starting soon, I might be later than sooner on posting again!
We enjoyed Literacy Night (Shake Rattle and Read) at the Elementary School. Had to be a Huge Success! The Place was packed!

We closed Basketball Season with Trophies! Thanks to Amanda and Boo for doing a great job coaching!
Congrats to Wyatt for the major improvement from last year! Congrats to Miss Madelyn for trying the sport and sticking it out. She says, I don't really know how to play basketball, but I do know how to play tball. It just never clicked with her! But, she still showed up and continued to support her team!

Zoo Days with the Gauthier's We made a trip to the Lafayette Zoo! We've been going for years, but this was the first time we could all ride together...not car seat or stroller issues! If you haven't ever been, it's worth the ride!

And, there they are! Loving them so much, I had to post a pic! The biggest Crimson Red Washer and Dryer that I could find!
