We were so excited to be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge this year during our Disney '09 Vacation! How could Disney possibly come up with something to make Disney more magical than it always is..... They did.....it was so magical to get up every morning and see animals grazing and eating breakfast....One morning, there were 5 giraffe, 2 which were baby giraffe, 2 zebras and 3 ostrich! Our first look out on the balcony, we saw a giraffe sleeping...actually lying down....how often do you see that!
One of the very first things we did at MGM was the American Idol Experience. However, Madelyn went with the Gauthier's while we went to the Star Wars Parade. We were still able to get into the Amerian Idol Experience just before the doors closed, and when we walked in....Madelyn was on the big screen. ... She was chosen by the MC to talk to the audience! They have real people visiting Disneyworld audition....they pick the top 3 who then perform in front of the audience. The chairs in the audience have voting contraptions on them. The audience votes, then there's a finale for all that won during the day. The winner of that finale goes to the big finale....I don't know when that is, but the winner wins a pass that enables them to skip the 24 hour line during the real American Idol auditions....pretty cool!
They do have a new ride at Hollywood Studios called Toy Story. This is not part of the ride...this is the entertainment while you stand in line for this ride....well worth standing in line for! The Mr. Potato Head can see the kids.....he says hey you in the front with the stripes .....then, he tells corny little jokes!
We always enjoy Animal Kingdom so much! I had read somewhere that if you jump on Kilamanjara Safari 1st thing in the morning...the line will be short and you'll see more animals...it's true...We had a 20 minute wait and we saw more animals! The guys got us fast passes for Expedition Everest while we waited on line. Wyatt rode that one! It was his first big roller coaster...he wasn't scared. He was pumped! He rode with his Dad.... When he got off, I said do you want to ride again?....he said no, not really...not sure if he really liked it that much!
Taking a breather, while some road the Dinosaur ride.
Cinderella and Prince Charming dance the night away, while we headed to Lego World for 2 hours for Wyatt! Ya'll know I can't forget about my Wyatt!
