Final 2 Days at Disney

Final 2 Days at Disney were jammed packed! Of course it continued to rain, we were use to it by this time! We had to get some sleep time in on day 4, so we skipped our Donald Duck Breakfast thinking we would be able to get something else...that's what you get for thinking. They had nothing available! Finally ended up getting dinner at China in Epcot, which worked out fine. We were able to watch Illuminations from inside the restaurant. The kids enjoyed it much better...they aren't big fans of loud fireworks! We started our last day a little differently. Us girls went to eat BKF with the princesses and Derek and Wyatt went to eat at Chef Mickey's. We planned to meet back with the Gauthier's around lunch time, but Megyn ended up hitting her head really bad standing in line at the monorails, so they had to leave early. So Sad. Mickey never likes to see anyone have to leave early because of an injury at Disney World! Mom may have been more upset about it than the kids! When you're a Disney Freak, you just can't help it!

Final Day was full of our favorites. Posting the final few pics below! I did just finish my Disney Book. Found a new companay! picaboo.com I really enjoyed the software! Not badly priced either! Few Pictures from The Character Spot!

Derek got a little grumpy every now and again. The waitress at the Rainforest Cafe even noticed his grumpiness, so it was only fitting to take his picture next to the grumpy dwarf!

Madelyn's favorite Princess! Belle!

Wyatt's favorites. Donald Duck and Pirates of the Caribbean!A few family pics to wrap up the Disney Days on the Blog!

See you real soon!

Day 3 at the Parks!

A much anticipated day for the Dads. They went on a chartered fishing trip amongst the Disney Lakes...of course catch and release...A nice break for Dad! Ended up catching a pretty good fish too!

Us girls headed for the parks, we had plans to eat with Pooh and friends.... The Gauthier's see them every year, but this was our first! We really enjoyed ourselves....not all of us though....that's a pic of Meg under the table....characters w/o real hands are no friends of hers! Madelyn just hugged an hugged on Pooh Bear and Wyatt wanted to see Tigger bounce! They were both excited to see Eore......that's Dad's favorite. Even though Derek couldn't be with us....we all said it for him....we told Eore..... Okay....I'm a comin... Madelyn says that all the time!

Morgyn and Wyatt had a great time being the leaders in the Pooh Parade!

Madelyn's favorite ride was It's a Small World. She fell in love with it and from that point on....she would say quite frequently....Mom, can you just take me to the ride with the babies and the boat!

That's Madelyn waiting in line for It's a Small World! Happy as they come! Wyatt and Madelyn wanted me to take a picture of the Mexican babies for their Nana Lucia....so Nana, there you go!

Later that day, we headed to Epcot. It was Festival of Flowers at Epcot. All of the characters were made into their shape with beautiful flowers. I really enjoyed seeing this.....it was very pretty. Even the Beast was nicely done!

It did rain daily on us...sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. We got use to it, and knew not to go anywhere without the ponchos! It wasn't bad b/c it cooled things off and a lot of times cleared things out!

One of my favorite things to do at Disney is get a Kitchen Sink Sundae. Great way to pass the time, so the storm could pass.....They dim the lights and turn the sirens on when they bring this baby out! I think they said it has like 24 scoops of ice cream and a whole can of whip cream! It's a 50's style place and the jukebox really works! Famous last words during this snack was "No Double Dipping!" The kids had no clue as to what that meant!

We also of course road Test Track. It was Madelyn's first time! That's the kids waiting in line. That was the worst line we waited in...it was about an hour wait...They did really good though.

Below is a pic of us riding the actual ride...Me and Madelyn in the front and Wyatt and Derek in the back....And, yes that's me covering Madelyn's eyes. It looked like we were about to hit the wall!

We ended day 3 with Soarin at about 11:30 that

night! We did 16 hours that day. Needless to say, we slept in the next morning and skipped our scheduled Donald Duck breakfast.....Guess we're getting old....can't hang with the 16 hour days anymore!

Disney Vacation

Page 4: Disney World '09

We were so excited to be staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge this year during our Disney '09 Vacation! How could Disney possibly come up with something to make Disney more magical than it always is..... They did.....it was so magical to get up every morning and see animals grazing and eating breakfast....One morning, there were 5 giraffe, 2 which were baby giraffe, 2 zebras and 3 ostrich! Our first look out on the balcony, we saw a giraffe sleeping...actually lying down....how often do you see that!

Picture of the kids looking out the balcony in the morning to see what animals were eating breakfast. The hotel was truly magnificent. Made you feel like you were really in Africa...I wish I had taken more pictures of the actual hotel!

Day 1 Disney Hollywood Studios
It was Star Wars Weekend! Standing in line to get in we were all being held up by Storm Troopers!

Wyatt begged for the lightsaber...even though we have like 10 at home already! We also did the Star Wars Parade. It was really cool... The actors from the movie rode in the parade! And, Goofy, Mickey and Donald dresses as Star Wars
characters!

One of the very first things we did at MGM was the American Idol Experience. However, Madelyn went with the Gauthier's while we went to the Star Wars Parade. We were still able to get into the Amerian Idol Experience just before the doors closed, and when we walked in....Madelyn was on the big screen. ... She was chosen by the MC to talk to the audience! They have real people visiting Disneyworld audition....they pick the top 3 who then perform in front of the audience. The chairs in the audience have voting contraptions on them. The audience votes, then there's a finale for all that won during the day. The winner of that finale goes to the big finale....I don't know when that is, but the winner wins a pass that enables them to skip the 24 hour line during the real American Idol auditions....pretty cool!

They do have a new ride at Hollywood Studios called Toy Story. This is not part of the ride...this is the entertainment while you stand in line for this ride....well worth standing in line for! The Mr. Potato Head can see the kids.....he says hey you in the front with the stripes .....then, he tells corny little jokes!

Madelyn and Megyn were too short to ride the new Star Wars ride, so they took a cooling break and played in the fountains....you can see Megyn in the background! When we went back there the last day, Madelyn asked to get back in that fountain...she loved it!

Day 2: Animal Kingdom
We always enjoy Animal Kingdom so much! I had read somewhere that if you jump on Kilamanjara Safari 1st thing in the morning...the line will be short and you'll see more animals...it's true...We had a 20 minute wait and we saw more animals! The guys got us fast passes for Expedition Everest while we waited on line. Wyatt rode that one! It was his first big roller coaster...he wasn't scared. He was pumped! He rode with his Dad.... When he got off, I said do you want to ride again?....he said no, not really...not sure if he really liked it that much!

It was Memorial Day....we were very Patriotic! We really enjoyed the girl's dresses! The guys didn't care too much for the same shirts, but atleast they weren't the same color!

Taking a breather, while some road the Dinosaur ride.

We wrapped up the day with the parade and then took the kids to It's a Bug's Life....big mistake...they were horrified....every show after that ...that anyway involved 3D glasses....they did not want to be a part of it. They are still talking about the spiders that came out the ceiling and the smoke everywhere! Maybe it's getting to Derek too....he woke up last night ......jumping out of bed b/c of those spiders.....he does that a lot...sometimes it's spiders and sometimes it's chickens!
We ended day 2 by joining Cinderella and Prince Charming for supper! It was Madelyn's first time meeting Cinderella! Her stepsister's and stepmother were there too! We ate at 1900 Park Fare. It was my first time eating there....It was rather entertaining. Anastasia stole Megyn's crown and then when Sheena had to get it back, she called her out in front of everyone!

I ordered Madelyn a very special dessert from the bakery! A cinderella glass slipper, but it was white chocolate. She was excited!

Cinderella and Prince Charming dance the night away, while we headed to Lego World for 2 hours for Wyatt! Ya'll know I can't forget about my Wyatt!

Wyatt got $97.00 for Graduation and he spent 50 of it at Lego World. He was so overwhelmed..he didn't know what to get....too many Lego's to choose from!
