Hello May!

I forgot to post this time last time! Such a great pic of Madelyn with her friend Hannah from kindergarten! Spring field trip for the kindergartners!

I guess we didn't quite get enough Disney.....but do you ever get enough Disney!

Toy Story 3 Disney on Ice!

Excellent Show!

Mother's Day Weekend! Mrs. Lucia had a nice lunch for all of us, then we headed to the strawberry patch!

Pick a little, eat a little! You see Wyatt's basket is empty....that's because he eats more than he picks! He takes full advantage of that Pick a little, Eat a Little! I think he might feel a little guilty about it bc he'll say well, Mrs. Heather says we can eat them while we pick!

Such a sad day..my baby girl graduates from kindergarten! She was the letter G!

And there she is doing all of her hand motions!

And, there she is with her "I'm going to 1st grade" certificate! ...sniff, sniff....

Doesn't she look pretty though! She was so excited!

Happy Birthday to me! Almost every single year we have baseball games on my birthday! This year it was lucky Friday the 13th! It was an awesome day...we had Madelyn's program and then we had ball games and then we went to eat at Cate Street, so Madelyn could get her some crabs.....and boy did she get em!

My most favorite picture ever! Kids were outside playing...Wyatt calls me outside...he said he had been working on something for me! He was so proud and I was touched! It was the best birthday card ever!

Awards ceremony for Wyatt! He would often say....Madelyn you wait until you have to take real test and get real grades...this is not easy! He took it very seriously and it paid off! He received several awards, including one for all A's!

Shout out to Barrett ..he was the recipient of one of the Young Arthur Awards! Excellent!

This is the part that makes your blog interesting...the random pics that just show up! I took this pic at the Chic Fil A bc I wanted some plants like that in my flower bed......I was super close to getting them....I bought them at the store.....but I never had the time to get them in the ground, so they died and I still don't have my plants....but I do have this great picture!

The best way to finish out your birthday weekend is some family time watching an LSU baseball game! I love it! We sit in the outfield....Wyatt loves to catch the balls and hold them in between innings...he does realize that he has to give them back!

How sweet of him....he lets his sister hold the ball for half a second!

Well, we almost had Mikey Mahtook's last homerun ball.....that sucker was coming straight for me and Wyatt....so much that it scared me....of course we didn't have a glove bc we were in a rush to leave.....it landed about 2 bleachers behind us...a not so very thin 12 year old got it.....but we do have a story to tell! We almost had it! A little excitment for the day!

Madelyn's 4th Dance Recital!

Wizard of Oz Theme. She was a soldier during the Munchkin Song!

She did so good!

Daddy got her some pretty flowers. ...even though he missed the first performance...bc of the flowers! Gotta have the flowers from Daddy! Derek has actually always done that...we always go in separate cars bc we have to get there so early....and he has always stopped to get her flowers for after her performance! Such a sweet memory for her!

My Sweet PaPa Nick passed away on May 23rd....He took such great care of my MawMaw Ruth. He loved her and all of us with all of his heart! He was the most energetic PawPaw ever, and I promise you he could talk more than anyone you know now or once knew! I will forever have a memory of him always getting 2 chocoloate cookies after supper! He'd say one for me and another one for me! Sometimes he'd say...one for me and one for you and he'd share...but that was mostly when he was on a diet! I use to love to watch his stories with him! In case you were wondering..that means soap opera...that's what he called them...he'd say i can't miss my story today! And one last memory mention...I stayed with them with year for New Year's Eve...of course we were watchng the ball drop....He got up at about 11:30 and fixed my Maw Maw some wine and he gave me some milk in a wine glass...I thought that was so awesome! And that's what he was....one awesome PaPa Nick!

I didn't tell the kids that PaPa Nick had died bc I was too upset to talk about it. My mom kept them one day and she told them. I came home from work....Madelyn says...Mom, how many people are there in heaven...I said oh Madelyn probably more than there's a number for. She goes I know how many...there was a jillion, but now there's a jillion and one bc PaPa Nick is there now too! And so, he is! RIP Nicholas Fontana......it's just like Montana but with an F...that;s what he'd say!

Memorial Weekend 2011!

Well, I decided that we needed to go camping before All Stars cranked up and stole all of our weekends! And I decided we needed to go to Jellystone Park....none of us had ever been and it was ashame bc it was only 30 minutes down the road.....Well, they had a few cabins left.....we booked the rustic A Frame cabin! and we booked it bc that's all the only kind of cabin they had left ....but I have a feeling even the most expensive ones aren't that much better!

And so when they said Rustic....they kind of meant really rustic.....there was a toilet, but there wasn't enough room to sit on the toilet, and I'm not exaggerating.....you had to literally sit side ways! And, there was water, but there wasn't hot water, nor was there a shower or a tub!! So, we adjusted to this news and went on about our business!

First order of business! Find Yogi!

And Boo Boo!

We had a great first day. We met Yogi, we went canoeing, we rode the paddle boats, we went swimming and Derek's Dad came to fry fish! It was a great first day up until this point! Everything changed when it was time for bed! We go to the bath house, (which wasn't that bad) then we climb in these rubber matresses....we're all on our phones and ipods trying to get sleepy...I was atleast trying to get sleepy enough so I wouldn't think about where I was sleeping! It was 11:15...The kids were zonked out...Derek was tossing and turning like a crazy person and I say Derek. .....we could be in our bed by midnight...he goes what? I said we could be in our bed by midnight.....he didn't respond......then I said I'm not joking....he laid there for a second.....he goes grab a kid..lets go! So, we left all of our stuff and headed for Livingston where we slept so wonderful on our beds! We got up the next morning and went back for 9AM. Our neighbors never knew we left! It was a 2 night minium....guess what...we did that again the next night!

Day 2 at the Yogi Bear!

I saw my cousin Jason at my PaPa's funeral....Jason happens to be in that picture with my PaPa that you just saw! Anyway...I told them we were going to the Yogi Bear for Memorial Weekend and they should come out for a day and they did! That's Tyler and Wyatt enjoying some watermelon...and so we learned that Danielle and Derek need to have a watermelon eating contest! Maybe we'll get to that on our next camping trip!

They have a miniature golf course on the grounds.....we brought the kiddos! Jason says...ya'll just hold up a minute....I feel like I'm in a movie...we're playing put put golf in our bathing suits, drinking beer and no one cares! And Derek says....isn't it great....Redneck Fabulous at it's finest!

And there we are ..... Redneck Fabulous!

Kids had a blast! That's what it's all about!

Disney 2011

So, we decided to drive again! I just can't bring myself to spend the $1200 on flights! I would rather spend that money actually at Disney World! The drive isn't bad...if you can make it through the Florida Panhandle...you're home free after that!

We actually had a choice on what vehicle to take....we now have 2 big gas hogs! I guess I'd say we're not the green type. It was either the Big E or my van! We decided to go with the Excursion bc my van needed some tires! The best part about going in the Big E was we didn't even have to stop for gas one time! We drove 700 miles on one tank of gas! And, the other good part...is I didn't have to drive...well..maybe that's not good bc I'm a nervous wreck when Derek drives....now he drives this tank that looks like you're about to hit every single car in the next lane.....believe me there were times...I thought, I wish I could drive this thing...just so my nerves would calm! But, we made it! As, Derek says...calm down...I seem to make it back and forth to work every day with no problems!

We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort....it was our first time to stay there! We got the Pirate themed room! It's not anything like the Animal Kingdom resort...but it was good enough!

We tried to eat outside on the beach one morning for breakfast....

But these Beastie Birds kept trying to get our food!

Even though the kids are 6 and 7 and this was there 4th trip...I wanted this to be about doing some things at Disney for the first time! So, you'll see that word First a lot!

First time for Deluxe Dining! I enjoyed it....if I were to do it again...I would arrange things a little differently! But, you won't know how to do it the next time.....until you try it first!

Our first time to eat at Ohana's for breakfast!

Food was fantastic! Probably the best breakfast food we had the entire trip! Kiddos enjoyed Lilo and Stitch! They spent a lot of time at each table

Few Miscellaneous shots from the gift shop at the Polynesian!

Derek's favorite dwarf is GRUMPY!....and he's probably the only person alive that actually gets GRUMPY at Disney World!

First time to eat at the Garden Grill at Epcot. I had never really heard people rant and rave about this one, when you pass by it doesn't look that great.....BUT, let me tell you.....WE loved it! We will be going back to this one! The food was great...The kids really enjoyed the different scenes amongst the turn table.....The turn table got me a little bit sick....but it was worth it!
And did I mention that Chip and Dale are Wyatt and Madelyn's fave! I have to put this story here.....for the longest time....they called them Chic and Dale....Derek and I still call them that...just to keep the memory alive! But which one is Chip and which one is Dale!

It warms a Mommas heart the hear her kids order Broccoli!

Top of the list while we waited for our food! Who could finish the word find first! Wyatt usually won, but my girl gave it a go!

Still talking food!

We were able to get a ADR at Le Cecelir in Epcot...it's a steak house in case some of you are wondering! I'm not a big steak eater, but I do enjoy a good salad....Now this salad doesn't look like the best .......it's a big slab of lettuce with s slice of cheese and some big ole croutons...once you got that thing cut up....it was one of the best ceasar salads I have ever had. Probably the best was at the Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans....just in case you were wondering!

Couple pics while we were at the table at Coral Reef! That will be our last visit there! It's neat to see the fish in the tank, but the food was just blah. My fish was fishy and Derek said his steak was just okay.

Primetime Cafe! One of my all time favorites! With Deluxe Dining...you get dessert...kids enjoyed several of those milk shakes!

Another Hollywood Studios Favorite! Sci Fi!

Well, I should say a new favorite..

Another first for The Morgans....it was good to experience one time....won't be on my have to have list though! The atmosphere was really cool, and of course the cars were cool! Not a big fan of the food....in case you were wondering!...just my opinion!

Always a good time at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom!

I had excused myself to the ladies room....and I missed my favorite character, but my #1 kiddos made sure she came back around for a pic with ole Mom!

Hoopty Do Review!

Oh My Wow! Loved it. This wasn't a first for me, but I didn't remember it being like this. The last time I attended the Hoppty Do Review was when I was 11, and I remember going to the breakfast gathering.....so much better at night! The entertainment was an A++ and the food was excellent! It does take 2 Table Service tickets if you're on the Disney Dining Plan, but so worth it! My favorite part was listening to Wyatt laugh out loud!

Few pics of us while we waited for our seat!

Viva Disney World! We love to eat in Mexico at Epcot! Tortilla Soup is delish!

And, this is our absolute favorite place to actually wait on a table!

Wyatt hates this picture, but I love it!

We always take pictures in Mexican Hats for NaNa Lucia!

Blizzard Beach!

Our first time to experience the water parks at Disney! Derek said...if this water park is as clean as the rest of Disney...I'll be impressed.....we went to another water park in Dallas last year...and lets just say.....Derek said....how come we didn't go to Disney!

Even the locker room was clean....like really clean! Disney does it again! We were there on a Sunday.....no one was there...it was the first of May and the water was a little cold, but you got use to it. One of the locals told me the best day to go to the water parks was Sunday! Boy was it the best day! NO lines and we walked around like we were the only people there! Loved it! Only bad thing....it's a pain to try and carry your camera around, so I don't have very many pictures!

Epcot

We love the Character Spot at Epcot....grab an ice cream from the attached ice cream shop and wait...it's worth it!

These are the expressions that you save and save your money for! Make sure and save the extra $150 for the Disney CD of pictures..it's so worth it!

The only 50 minute line that we waited in!

Maybe one day Wyatt.....start saving now! He does look good in that car though!

Stop in for some free coke from around the world! Most aren't good. I think I remember an orange coke tasting good, but I can't remember which country! It was a fun experience!

This is us on the way to the MK! Isn't my girl just glowing...she was so excited! Magic Kingdom was actually our second day in the parks....we took the bus the first day, and on the ride back to the hotel with a bus full of 65 stinky people...I then decided that that would be our last bus ride for the trip.....So, the next morning....we got in Big E and followed the signs to get to the MK....we park...and we're thinking...WoW....we got a front row parking spot....this is awesome....Learn from this.....you can't just ride up to Magic Kingdom and park.....you can only get there by boat or monorail! The signs brought us to the transportation center....where we had to get on the boat....but other than going to the MK.....driving your own vehicle is the way to go.....If you're staying on Disney property, then you don't have to pay to park! ...One of the perks of staying on Disney Property. I strongly recommend driving yourself if you can.....way better than waiting on the bus and then riding it........the bus driver could care less that his driving is making you sick and the person sitting next to you could care less that they have the worst BO over......Drive if you can!!!

Magic Kingdom!

We finally know our way around without a map....That was so nice this time! I even gave someone directions! Go Me!

I'm not sure why there is a big space here...just keep scrolling!

Make sure you get a tinker bell pic!

Yay for the princesses.....she didn't want to eat with them this time, but she did just want to stop in to say hi! From the look on her face.....I think she was really glad to see them!

Belle is her favorite!

Wyatt stopped in tomorrowland to dance a little with Chip or Dale....I'm not sure which one!

And, that's what they look like! I plan what to do and Derek packs the bag and the kids..it works really well for us! He hated that red shirt I got him...It said I'm your guy on it with a picture of Mickey...He had several guys tell him they liked his shirt....Finally toward the end of the day...he says...Delana....don't ever make me wear this man attracting shirt again......way too many men like this shirt....I liked it....I could spot him for miles!

Animal Kingdom!

Drum Time!

Nemo! A must see.....It's really really good!

When you see the sign that says.....this is a good picture spot....stop to take the pic!

One of my favorite things about Animal Kingdom is the scenery!

Kilamanjaro Safari ride...always excellent!

I actually took that Pelican pic with my own camera! Go me! That's one reason why it made the blog.....the second is....Madelyn is telling me during this ride that the Pelican is the Louisiana state bird....and, I thought wow that's nice for them to learn that at school....then she proceeds to tell me that LSU got their colors purple and gold from Mardi Gras! And, she was right! Kuddos to Mrs. Betsy on teaching her the Lousiana History so well! Just in case you were wondering...this is how the story goes....It was Mardi Gras time....the fabric store had an abundant supply of purple/gold/green fabric...The seamstress went in to get fabric to make ball uniforms....all they had left was purple and gold fabric, so that's what they bought; therefore giving LSU their purple and gold colors!

He has the life!

Her name is Pearl! She lives at the Pet Zoo in Disney World. I think she really does have the life!

Hollywood Studios!

I think this is the new favorite park for my kids They are getting older....so sad!

I had no idea why the photographer told us to reach up when we took this picture, but when I got my Disney World CD....I was so excited! They have so many ways of spreading the magic...even when you get home! I love this picture!

Wyatt rode Tower of Terror for the first time! He's hooked....Derek said he was so nervous and scared...he didn't even scream on the way down!

Then he rocked it out on Rockin Roller Coaster for the first time!

Time for some Jedi Training!

Wyatt was the only Jedi Student that got to use the push force against the storm troopers....so exciting!

Never leave Hollywood Studios without seeing Beauty and the Beast...it's so wonderful!

And this is the stage that rolls up and down the main drag all day! Madelyn loved it...they play all of the songs from the Disney Channel....she knew them all....I think she would have watched all day if I would have let her!

Our 2nd time to be in DW during the Festival of Flowers! We love it!

Madelyn tells Derek to take plenty of pictures so he can work on things like this in our flower bed at home!

And he really did smell like strawberries when you passed him!

I bought them both $50 gift cards to spend while they were at Disney, so they wouldn't bug me in every store that we went to....She bought herself some sunglasses!

There he is.....with is fave! Grumpy himself!

We had a blast...the weather was unbelievable and the crowds weren't bad at all. We went April 27th- May 2nd.....I highly recommend this time of the year for Disney! I couldn't have planned it all without the help of my Disney planner...Nancy Bessler...she works for WDW travels....and she's awesome....If you're planning a trip to Disney soon....please let me know so I can pass on her information.....she doesn't charge you extra.....Disney pays her..not you!
