Disney 2011

So, we decided to drive again! I just can't bring myself to spend the $1200 on flights! I would rather spend that money actually at Disney World! The drive isn't bad...if you can make it through the Florida Panhandle...you're home free after that!

We actually had a choice on what vehicle to take....we now have 2 big gas hogs! I guess I'd say we're not the green type. It was either the Big E or my van! We decided to go with the Excursion bc my van needed some tires! The best part about going in the Big E was we didn't even have to stop for gas one time! We drove 700 miles on one tank of gas! And, the other good part...is I didn't have to drive...well..maybe that's not good bc I'm a nervous wreck when Derek drives....now he drives this tank that looks like you're about to hit every single car in the next lane.....believe me there were times...I thought, I wish I could drive this thing...just so my nerves would calm! But, we made it! As, Derek says...calm down...I seem to make it back and forth to work every day with no problems!

We stayed at the Carribean Beach Resort....it was our first time to stay there! We got the Pirate themed room! It's not anything like the Animal Kingdom resort...but it was good enough!

We tried to eat outside on the beach one morning for breakfast....

But these Beastie Birds kept trying to get our food!

Even though the kids are 6 and 7 and this was there 4th trip...I wanted this to be about doing some things at Disney for the first time! So, you'll see that word First a lot!

First time for Deluxe Dining! I enjoyed it....if I were to do it again...I would arrange things a little differently! But, you won't know how to do it the next time.....until you try it first!

Our first time to eat at Ohana's for breakfast!

Food was fantastic! Probably the best breakfast food we had the entire trip! Kiddos enjoyed Lilo and Stitch! They spent a lot of time at each table

Few Miscellaneous shots from the gift shop at the Polynesian!

Derek's favorite dwarf is GRUMPY!....and he's probably the only person alive that actually gets GRUMPY at Disney World!

First time to eat at the Garden Grill at Epcot. I had never really heard people rant and rave about this one, when you pass by it doesn't look that great.....BUT, let me tell you.....WE loved it! We will be going back to this one! The food was great...The kids really enjoyed the different scenes amongst the turn table.....The turn table got me a little bit sick....but it was worth it!
And did I mention that Chip and Dale are Wyatt and Madelyn's fave! I have to put this story here.....for the longest time....they called them Chic and Dale....Derek and I still call them that...just to keep the memory alive! But which one is Chip and which one is Dale!

It warms a Mommas heart the hear her kids order Broccoli!

Top of the list while we waited for our food! Who could finish the word find first! Wyatt usually won, but my girl gave it a go!

Still talking food!

We were able to get a ADR at Le Cecelir in Epcot...it's a steak house in case some of you are wondering! I'm not a big steak eater, but I do enjoy a good salad....Now this salad doesn't look like the best .......it's a big slab of lettuce with s slice of cheese and some big ole croutons...once you got that thing cut up....it was one of the best ceasar salads I have ever had. Probably the best was at the Court of Two Sisters in New Orleans....just in case you were wondering!

Couple pics while we were at the table at Coral Reef! That will be our last visit there! It's neat to see the fish in the tank, but the food was just blah. My fish was fishy and Derek said his steak was just okay.

Primetime Cafe! One of my all time favorites! With Deluxe Dining...you get dessert...kids enjoyed several of those milk shakes!

Another Hollywood Studios Favorite! Sci Fi!

Well, I should say a new favorite..

Another first for The Morgans....it was good to experience one time....won't be on my have to have list though! The atmosphere was really cool, and of course the cars were cool! Not a big fan of the food....in case you were wondering!...just my opinion!

Always a good time at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom!

I had excused myself to the ladies room....and I missed my favorite character, but my #1 kiddos made sure she came back around for a pic with ole Mom!

Hoopty Do Review!

Oh My Wow! Loved it. This wasn't a first for me, but I didn't remember it being like this. The last time I attended the Hoppty Do Review was when I was 11, and I remember going to the breakfast gathering.....so much better at night! The entertainment was an A++ and the food was excellent! It does take 2 Table Service tickets if you're on the Disney Dining Plan, but so worth it! My favorite part was listening to Wyatt laugh out loud!

Few pics of us while we waited for our seat!

Viva Disney World! We love to eat in Mexico at Epcot! Tortilla Soup is delish!

And, this is our absolute favorite place to actually wait on a table!

Wyatt hates this picture, but I love it!

We always take pictures in Mexican Hats for NaNa Lucia!

Blizzard Beach!

Our first time to experience the water parks at Disney! Derek said...if this water park is as clean as the rest of Disney...I'll be impressed.....we went to another water park in Dallas last year...and lets just say.....Derek said....how come we didn't go to Disney!

Even the locker room was clean....like really clean! Disney does it again! We were there on a Sunday.....no one was there...it was the first of May and the water was a little cold, but you got use to it. One of the locals told me the best day to go to the water parks was Sunday! Boy was it the best day! NO lines and we walked around like we were the only people there! Loved it! Only bad thing....it's a pain to try and carry your camera around, so I don't have very many pictures!

Epcot

We love the Character Spot at Epcot....grab an ice cream from the attached ice cream shop and wait...it's worth it!

These are the expressions that you save and save your money for! Make sure and save the extra $150 for the Disney CD of pictures..it's so worth it!

The only 50 minute line that we waited in!

Maybe one day Wyatt.....start saving now! He does look good in that car though!

Stop in for some free coke from around the world! Most aren't good. I think I remember an orange coke tasting good, but I can't remember which country! It was a fun experience!

This is us on the way to the MK! Isn't my girl just glowing...she was so excited! Magic Kingdom was actually our second day in the parks....we took the bus the first day, and on the ride back to the hotel with a bus full of 65 stinky people...I then decided that that would be our last bus ride for the trip.....So, the next morning....we got in Big E and followed the signs to get to the MK....we park...and we're thinking...WoW....we got a front row parking spot....this is awesome....Learn from this.....you can't just ride up to Magic Kingdom and park.....you can only get there by boat or monorail! The signs brought us to the transportation center....where we had to get on the boat....but other than going to the MK.....driving your own vehicle is the way to go.....If you're staying on Disney property, then you don't have to pay to park! ...One of the perks of staying on Disney Property. I strongly recommend driving yourself if you can.....way better than waiting on the bus and then riding it........the bus driver could care less that his driving is making you sick and the person sitting next to you could care less that they have the worst BO over......Drive if you can!!!

Magic Kingdom!

We finally know our way around without a map....That was so nice this time! I even gave someone directions! Go Me!

I'm not sure why there is a big space here...just keep scrolling!

Make sure you get a tinker bell pic!

Yay for the princesses.....she didn't want to eat with them this time, but she did just want to stop in to say hi! From the look on her face.....I think she was really glad to see them!

Belle is her favorite!

Wyatt stopped in tomorrowland to dance a little with Chip or Dale....I'm not sure which one!

And, that's what they look like! I plan what to do and Derek packs the bag and the kids..it works really well for us! He hated that red shirt I got him...It said I'm your guy on it with a picture of Mickey...He had several guys tell him they liked his shirt....Finally toward the end of the day...he says...Delana....don't ever make me wear this man attracting shirt again......way too many men like this shirt....I liked it....I could spot him for miles!

Animal Kingdom!

Drum Time!

Nemo! A must see.....It's really really good!

When you see the sign that says.....this is a good picture spot....stop to take the pic!

One of my favorite things about Animal Kingdom is the scenery!

Kilamanjaro Safari ride...always excellent!

I actually took that Pelican pic with my own camera! Go me! That's one reason why it made the blog.....the second is....Madelyn is telling me during this ride that the Pelican is the Louisiana state bird....and, I thought wow that's nice for them to learn that at school....then she proceeds to tell me that LSU got their colors purple and gold from Mardi Gras! And, she was right! Kuddos to Mrs. Betsy on teaching her the Lousiana History so well! Just in case you were wondering...this is how the story goes....It was Mardi Gras time....the fabric store had an abundant supply of purple/gold/green fabric...The seamstress went in to get fabric to make ball uniforms....all they had left was purple and gold fabric, so that's what they bought; therefore giving LSU their purple and gold colors!

He has the life!

Her name is Pearl! She lives at the Pet Zoo in Disney World. I think she really does have the life!

Hollywood Studios!

I think this is the new favorite park for my kids They are getting older....so sad!

I had no idea why the photographer told us to reach up when we took this picture, but when I got my Disney World CD....I was so excited! They have so many ways of spreading the magic...even when you get home! I love this picture!

Wyatt rode Tower of Terror for the first time! He's hooked....Derek said he was so nervous and scared...he didn't even scream on the way down!

Then he rocked it out on Rockin Roller Coaster for the first time!

Time for some Jedi Training!

Wyatt was the only Jedi Student that got to use the push force against the storm troopers....so exciting!

Never leave Hollywood Studios without seeing Beauty and the Beast...it's so wonderful!

And this is the stage that rolls up and down the main drag all day! Madelyn loved it...they play all of the songs from the Disney Channel....she knew them all....I think she would have watched all day if I would have let her!

Our 2nd time to be in DW during the Festival of Flowers! We love it!

Madelyn tells Derek to take plenty of pictures so he can work on things like this in our flower bed at home!

And he really did smell like strawberries when you passed him!

I bought them both $50 gift cards to spend while they were at Disney, so they wouldn't bug me in every store that we went to....She bought herself some sunglasses!

There he is.....with is fave! Grumpy himself!

We had a blast...the weather was unbelievable and the crowds weren't bad at all. We went April 27th- May 2nd.....I highly recommend this time of the year for Disney! I couldn't have planned it all without the help of my Disney planner...Nancy Bessler...she works for WDW travels....and she's awesome....If you're planning a trip to Disney soon....please let me know so I can pass on her information.....she doesn't charge you extra.....Disney pays her..not you!
